Review of 'TWENTY NINE GOING ON THIRTY' by Andaleeb Wajid.

Hello peeps, it is usually difficult for me to keep up with my passion for writing with rest of the world. Anyways I decided to take up a challenge of reading five books in four days and write their reviews. Although I could complete only three books, I wish to leave a remark.

REVIEW:

The story is about Priya , a social media marketing lead of  Citron and few of her contemporary friends. Priya is turning thirty this year. Her mother is constantly picking her about getting married but she wants to get married when she wants to. Her life is smooth with very few frictions in her workplace with few interns.

Farida, her roommate and childhood friend, is also turning thirty this year and loves a guy named Irshad. He is her long lost cousin. The story unfolds with finding Irshad but do not reveal if they had a happy ending. The story also reveals about Reshma Phuppu, an aunt who confiscated her house after death of Farida's parents and her struggle of regaining that house back.

Namrata the intern who manages to retain the selection in the office after internship was timid when she came into the office. She had a crush on guy named Vinay who was popular in the office. Vinay fails to notice Namrata until she gets a haircut.Namrata comes from a closed atmosphere where she still is scared of taking her own decisions until her friends muster up courage in her to move out.Vinay and Namrata is in love too.

Then there is Mini, who befriends Priya after her boyfriend cheats her. She is all along the story after a point.

Priya, in meantime is in love with her  new neighbor ,Ajay. He lost his wife and has a daughter named Anya. Their story has a happy ending though.

My Opinion: The writing is so well done. After the reading there is very less you feel attached to any of the characters. I really missed the connection throughout.

However, a good one time read.

Thank you.
